Normally, at top of the spreadsheet screen you will find buttons for common functions. Related buttons are grouped into sets called toolbars. For example, the toolbar in Figure 1 above shows the toolbar for common formatting commands.
You can control what toolbars are displayed in the window. You can also drag a set so that it becomes a floating palette.
In the following animation, the Chart toolbar is displayed, and then it is moved to a floating palette, and then it is moved back to a docked toolbar.

We say toolbars are normally at the top of the screen because you can move and dock them to other parts of the screen. The following animation shows a toolbar being moved to the bottom of the window. Also, notice that the initial screen has no toolbars or formula bar.
