A graphic is an image that can be added to your documents to help express an idea or convey a feeling. Images are one way to capture the attention of the reader and quickly communicate an idea.
While a graphic can be any image, the term is generally refers to images crafted to communicate a feeling or idea. So you are more likely to see the term applied to an artistic sketch than to a detailed engineering drawing or graph designed to communicate specific information.

Once you have imported an image into your document, you may use the tools inside the word processor to manipulate the image. For example, you can delete, move, and resize the image using the mouse cursor and menu commands.
Finally, when using clip art that you didn't create, it's important to know what the copyright restrictions are on the material you are using. Clip art is intellectual property and is often covered by copyright. The clip art you get from a third party should come with a licensing agreement. Many licensing agreements make distinctions between commercial and noncommercial use, but it's important to know what the restrictions are.
