What is a tool palette?
What do each of the draw tools do?

A Tool palette is group of tools for creating and manipulating objects (lines, boxes, etc) within the document. The tool palette (or tool panel) is the row of icons at the bottom of the document window. The icon image is suggestive of the function.

Select, move, and resize objects
Rotation Tool
Rotate objects
AutoShapes
Insert an AutoShape
Line Tool
Draw lines
Arrow Tool
Draw arrows
Rectangle
Draw rectangles and squares (hold the Shift key down to draw a square)
Ellipse
Draw ovals and circles (hold the Shift key down to draw a circle)

Add text to your drawing by creating a text box

Fill
Choose fill color, and fill an area with the color
Line Color
Choose line color
Font Color
Choose font color
Line width
Choose line width
Line Style
Choose line style–dashed, dotted, etc.
Arrow Style
Choose arrow style–size/shape of arrowhead, etc
Shadow
Choose shadowing style
3-D
Choose 3-D style

The Picture toolbar

When a clip art/picture is selected, the above toolbar is displayed.

Insert Picture
Inserts another picture, overlapping the selected picture
Image Control
Change the look of image–black & white, watermark, etc.
Brightness
Control brightness of the image
Contrast
Control contrast of the image
Crop tool
Crop the image
Line Style
Change style of the line/border
Text wrap
Change/set wrapping style
Format
Format picture–size, position etc.
Reset Picture
Resets picture to the way it looked when inserted
