How do you rotate a Drawing object?
Under the Draw
menu there are commands you can use to rotate an object 90 degrees clockwise or counter
clockwise around its center, or flip the object about its horizontal or vertical axis. To
rotate or flip an object, select the object and then, from the Draw menu, select:
- Free Rotate to rotate the object freely.
- Rotate Left to rotate the object 90 counter-clockwise.
- Rotate Right to rotate the object 90 clockwise.
- Flip Horizontal to flip the object about an imaginary vertical line
that runs through the center of the object.
- Flip Vertical to flip the object about an imaginary horizontal line
that runs through the center of the object.
Note:
- Before you can flip or rotate a group of objects, you must select and group the objects.
- If a text label is part of a group of objects being rotated or flipped, the position of
the text may change but the characters won't be rotated or flipped within the label.
- To free rotate, select it from the Draw menu, or click on its icon in the Draw
toolbar . The pointer
will change to .
Place it on top of one of the green rotate handles on the object, the pointer will change
to , and rotate
as much as you wish.
