How do you create a query from a single table?

If you are not sure what a query is you should first read the related concept "What is a query?"

There are three main ways to create a query. You can save a filter as a query, use one of the Query Wizards, or create one in Query Design view. This lesson shows how to create a query using Query Design view.

Notice in the above example that the first step is to specify the tables used to build the query. You can add fields to a query with the pulldown menu or by dragging a field name from the table to the design grid .

How do you run a query?

To run the query, select the toolbar button .
