Unit 2: Creating More Effective Spreadsheets
Lesson 6: Working With Formulas and Functions
How do select a range of cells for a function to work on?
In an earlier objective you learned how to use
functions with cell references to perform calculations. In another
objective you learned how to select
(or highlight) a range of cells. In this objective we combine these
two skills and show an efficient method for specifying the range of cells
for a function to work on.
In short, instead of typing the cell reference parameters of a function,
you can enter them with any of the cell range selection methods that have
been discussed.
The following animation shows an example.
