How do you create a new document?

When you launch into Word 97, Word automatically creates a new empty document for you called Document 1. You can then type in your document and save as any file name.

If you are already in Word using another document, and want to create a new document, you can do so in two ways:

• Use the menu command File, and select New...



• Click on the icon for New document:
