Word Processing Review
Are you prepared to take the test for the word processing
module? If you can do all of the following in a direct and efficient manner, you should do
well: 
  - Use the help system to find information
 
  - Create a new document or open an existing document
 
  - Save your document as a specific type. (HTML, Office 95
    version, etc.)
 
  - Insert date and special characters into your document
 
  - Preview a document before printing it
 
  - Erase a file from your diskette
 
  - Use the Undo command to undo a previous command
 
  - Change the font and size of specific characters
 
  - Change the style of specific characters (bold, underline,
    script, etc.)
 
  - Create subscript and superscript text
 
  - Set the margins of a paragraph
 
  - Set the margins of a page
 
  - Set the text alignment and line spacing of a paragraph
 
  - Create headers and footers
 
  - Set up automatic page numbering
 
  - Set and remove tabs
 
  - Set and remove page breaks
 
  - Use the Spell checker
 
  - Use the Thesaurus
 
  - Set up paragraph indents
 
  - Set up and use hanging indents
 
  - Set up and use bulleted lists
 
  - Create a table
 
  - Create footnotes and endnotes
 
  - Format a document into two columns
 
  - Add clip art to a document
 
  - Add an image from a file
 
  - Use the drawing tools in Word to add a hand-drawn figure to
    your document
 
For the exam you will be asked to make specific modifications to a document. The
document you start with will be one of the following:
